Lexmark C530dn – Printer with PANTONE Color Simulation
Utilizing a technology to help better produce solid colors, called, PANTONE, the Lexmark C530dn offers a better way to produce solid color imagery, such as pie charts or graphs, directly from one's desktop. It also offers moderate print speeds and performance, as well as a footprint small enough for personal use.
The Lexmark C530dn, with its fairly average specification list, could also be considered for sharing among a small workgroup if the demand for color printing was low, but still necessary. With black and white print speeds topping out at up to 24 pages per minute and color coming close behind at 22 pages per minute, the Lexmark C530dn's speeds are typical for what one would expect in a color laser printer of its stature. Its times to first page out run similarly at 10.5 seconds for black and white and as fast as 11 seconds for color.
These speeds are made possible by a 375 MHz processor that is paired with 128 MBs of included RAM. Random Access Memory can be upgraded to no more than a total of 640 MBs and flash memory is also accepted. Print quality runs at a true resolution of 1200 x 1200 dots per inch, but color prints are optimized by PANTONE solid color simulations, as well as 4800 color quality.
Connectivity is made possible by a USB port, as the Lexmark C530dn abandons the Parallel ports seen on earlier Lexmark models in the series. This, being an "n" model, includes an Ethernet port as well, along with twice the standard memory of the core unit. Optional connectivity includes external and internal wireless print servers and a gigabit Ethernet option. Printer languages included are PostScript 3 and PCL 6, which should cover almost all current systems.
The Lexmark C530dn offers a direct print format for PDF 1.5, which makes printing from a PDF file faster than ever, and both Windows and Mac operating systems are compatible with the unit, along with Linux. One of the major selling points of the printer is its small footprint. Its dimensions of 17 in. x 16 in. x 19 in. (W x D x H) make it fairly reasonable in size and its weight of 57 pounds is also very manageable, considering its color capabilities.
With a maximum monthly duty cycle of up to 65,000 printed pages, the unit is even capable of a considerable amount of print volume, especially for a small workgroup printer. Its recommended monthly duty is much lower, however, at only 500 – 2,800 pages. Its paper storage comes in the form of a 250 sheet standard drawer and a 100 sheet multipurpose feeder, a great improvement on the previous, single feed bypass slot. Unfortunately, with the addition of the 100 sheet bypass tray, Lexmark removed the 500 sheet paper expansion option, making the unit's maximum paper storage total only 350 sheets. Though the Lexmark C530dn is limited in many ways, it is small enough to be considered for personal, color printing office demands.

Learning English
Saying this may make me a little silly, but it is obviously that more and more people in all classes start to learn English all over the world. Not only in those non-English-speaking countries such as China, Korean, etc, but also in American, France and Germany, people are trying any method to learn English better. Why? Just because that the United State is leading the world in some meaning, and the world's business and politics are leading by these English speaking government.
Living in China, I do deeply feel that there is being heat for English learning, and other foreign languages learning, languages as Spanish, French which are my favourite two languages, and German, also Arabic. People here take language courses in local training center or on-line education. I still remember that Li Yang's Crazy English was so much heat in the last few years. I do not know if it is still hot now, but I can feel the situation that it's P decreases due to the increasing of many other language learning software and courses.
It is quite different between foreigners and Chinese learning a language. I admit that the student in colleges and universities in China have better chance to learn a foreign language, but they still don't do very well. Because they regard it as a HOMEWORK. Back here, foreigners have lots of method to learn a foreign language, by join in language courses, using language software (one of the most popular now is Rosetta Stone), take part in lot of free on-line courses. But for Chinese, the way people most choose is to take classes.
After having four years in university, I learn deep from my English courses. I realize that it is totally not enough for you to remember the words, phrases, grammar, sentences and usage of English, the most important thing is to develop your opinion in English. You should think in English, speak as English and manner your life in English. And all these element make people believe that the most effective way to learn English is to send them to English-speaking countries. Because you have to learn, speak, and think in English otherwise you could not handle with your daily life.

Tips for English learning
First, Use all of your resources. Even if you study English at a language school it doesn't mean you can't learn out of class. Using as many different sources, methods and tools as possible, will allow you to learn faster. There are many different ways you can improve your English, so don't limit yourself to only one or two. The Internet is a fantastic resource for virtually anything, but for the language learner it's perfect.
Second, Surround yourself with English. The absolute best way to learn English is to surround yourself with it. Take notes in English, put English books around your room, listen to English language radio broadcasts, watch English news, movies and television. Speak English with your friends whenever you can. The more English material that you have around you, the faster you will earn and the more likely it is that you will begin "thinking in English"
Third, Listen to Native speakers as much as possible. You may have foreigners around you, maybe your teachers or neighbour. You should try to imitate the native speakers of their natural flow to speech. The more you do, the closer you get to the English.
Forth, Do exercises and take tests. Many people think that exercises and tests aren't much fun. However, by completing exercises and taking tests you can really improve your English. One of the best reasons for doing lots of exercises and tests is that they give you a benchmark to compare your future results with. Often, it is by comparing your score on a test you took yesterday with one you took a month or six months ago that you realize just how much you have learned. If you never test yourself, you will never know how much you are progressing. Start now by doing some of the many exercises and tests on this site, and return in a few days to see what you've learned. Keep doing this and you really will make some progress with English.

What makes the King James Version of the Bible so special?
It seems as if so many people in my church have this philosophy that the King James Bible is the only Bible that contains the truth, and the New International Version is a pack of lies. What makes the KJV version so much better than the others? The NIV was translated from the KJV, but the KJV was translated from somewhere too, right?
Well - first, the belief that the King James Version (KJV) is the best bible is a religious belief. By that I mean: it is faith-based, not fact-based. I will not address it further here, but I *will* offer some facts below.
Second, and more important from my point of view, is your understanding of how bibles are translated. Nearly all English bibles - including the New International Version (NIV) and the KJV, are translated from original language documents. By that, I mean that they are translated from documents that are in the same language that the original authors used. SO - most bibles are not really translated from what we should call earlier bibles. Instead, they are translated from Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek documents that are copies of the original documents in the same language as the original documents (hopefully very accurate copies).
SO - the NIV in fact is NOT translated from the KJV (which is an English translation of Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek), but instead is itself a translation of Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek into English.
The issue is slightly more complicated than that, but you should know that at a basic level nearly all bibles are *not* translations of translations or modifications of earlier translations. At their most basic level, nearly all bibles are translations from the original languages - only one step, from a copy of the original author's writing in the language that he used to English.
Now - what's so special about the KJV? The most significant thing about the KJV is that for roughly 200 years it was the *only* Protestant English bible in print, and for over 300 years it was the most popular English bible in print.
Imagine **200 years** worth of Christians who believed that the bible meant only one thing: the King James Version. For **200 years** those people did not understand that "the bible" could be anything *other* than the KJV.
Now - when some fancy new revision such as the Revised Version comes along (in 1895), what do you think all of those Protestant Christians - who have been using *nothing* other than the KJV for the previous 245 years - are going to think? They're going to think that someone - at the instigation of The Devil - altered the very word of God. Why? Because the KJV is the only thing that they have ever known to be the word of God, or ever considered to be the word of God. And this is not only true of the Protestants alive in 1895, but also of their parents, and their grandparents, and their great-grandparents, etc. etc. etc.
More: most of their beliefs (if they are bible-based Christians) are based on the KJV and only the KJV. What happens to that teaching that your sect has taught for the last 250 years when some new bible uses different wording in the particular verse on which that teaching was based? The new bible version seems to go against what you (and your parents and grandparents) have been taught about Christianity for all of their lives and all of the lives of all of their ancestors they have ever known.
Is it any wonder that people *still* think that other translations are "from The Devil"?
But the reason they think that is because the new bibles go against what they believe! Understand what has happened: these people have used a particular bible to form their belief system. That belief system is *set*. So now any bible that does not support the same belief system in every detail must be "false" - because surely every last sniggling thing that they believe must be "true".
I think now you can understand why people still believe "KJV-only". I suspect that this will be the case until the KJV becomes literally unreadable - that is, for several centuries to come.

P.S. The King James Version is *not* the "first comprehensive English bible". It is, in fact, the *8th*, and the 2nd to be translated primarily from the original language documents.

How To Make Money Selling Photos To Stock Photo Agencies

A wise person once said, "One who finds a job one loves will never have to work another day." Well, unfortunately, the reality is that, finding a job you love does not necessarily equate to the level of income you may require to maintain the lifestyle you wish to have. Having said that, there is something to be said for the idea that doing something about which you are passionate does not really seem like "work"; regardless of whether or not you're getting paid to do it.
How might a photography enthusiast use this bit of wisdom? It would seem obvious that someone who is passionate about photography might want to explore its potential as a career option. This is a romantic thought, but is not necessarily the best move, depending on a lot of factors; not the least of which is where one is in his or her career at the present time. There's just as much wisdom in the old refrain, "Don't quit your day job."
A young person exploring career pathways might well consider photography as his or her primary source of income and career focus, given that individual's particular degree of ability, photographic "eye", opportunities for formal post-secondary education, job market and other factors. One huge consideration many photo-curious joggers on the career track tend to ignore, though, is the degree to which personality and eagerness to know clientele will necessarily impact one's eventual success as a photographer. (This is due, primarily, to the fact that the vast majority of full-time career photographers have traditionally and will always earn the lion's share of their income doing portrait - ie. "people" - photography.)
Before you throw-in the towel and give-up on making money through photography because you can't pursue it as a full-time occupation, why not consider the potential to generate a secondary stream of income by selling the byproduct of a hobby about which you are so passionate?
The internet isn't just about bringing people together through Facebook and similar social networks. The internet and its capacity for online digital data management and interactivity has also made it possible for talented photographer-hobbyists to exploit the money-making side of their work. Best of all, it could be a fun and exciting way to make some extra cash without being stuck to a time clock or beholden to someone else's schedule.
Here's how it works. Numerous online stock photo agencies offer multiple millions of images for sale to web designers, ad agencies and graphic artists seeking quick, easy, legal and affordable solutions to their digital image needs. The price clients pay depends on many factors, including rates charged by the particular agency, the image resolution required for the job and how the image will be used.
For example, if a purchaser wants exclusive rights to an image, the price will be considerably higher. This makes sense, because when an artist sells exclusive rights, that artist may relinquish ownership of the image and its use. However, the vast majority of transactions are less restricted "royalty free" arrangements in which multiple users have limited rights to use the same image over time, while the photographer retains his or her copyright to the intellectual property. Photos purchased for "print" targets such as publications and brochures can fetch varied commissions depending on circulation.
How much money does the photographer make? Take a bite of this reality sandwich; there's no way of predicting how much, IF ANY, money a particular individual may make in the stock photo game. (Again, don't quit your day job!) IF your photos are selected (remember each agency boasts millions of images spanning seemingly countless categories), your own share of the transaction is based on that agency's payment arrangement. Some agencies charge as little as a dollar per image and offer the photographer a cut of that cash. Others charge and share a great deal more, depending on the photographer's quality and popularity with users.
Bottom Line… A very talented photographer with good equipment, relentless attention to technical detail, a superb photographic eye and a strong understanding of what sells CAN earn a stream of income by listing his or her best works with a reputable stock photo agency. Higher quality, images with content reflective of purchasers' desires and high volume of listed works will obviously result in more sales and more money.
Realistically, if you make some cash from this activity it may not be enough to buy an extra lunch every few months. Then again, it could be much more than a vacation or kids' college fund.
But, hey, if photography is a pastime about which you're passionate, why not see if you can make a few extra bucks off of it? Even if you don't make a cent, you're really not out anything as there's no extra investment and the work is fun, after all, isn't it? And then, there's always the chance that you could start getting paid for doing something you already love doing!

Finding Online court record tools
Searching US County Court Records Online Databases.
There are 3,141 counties in the USA (including the so-called county equivalents, like parishes in Louisiana and boroughs in Alaska), and almost each of these counties has at least one court, forming a county level jurisdiction. Now just imagine how many repositories of county level court records there are across the whole of the United States. So, if you are little knowledgeable in jurisdiction issues, you might feel at a loss, should you face need of searching for a specific court record pertinent to case that was handled in one of that vast variety of county courts. For even if with the evolution of the Internet courts started offering access to their records databases to the general public, the task of searching for court records may be not easy one, especially if you lack sufficient information to serve you as departure platform in your online court records searches. Hence is the need for online court records search assisting tools with easy intuitive interface and also programs to ensure courts accountability before the citizens.
One of such programs was launched by Lubbock County in the state of Texas. The said program was started several years ago and was intended to improve the extent of the accountability of court system in general and judges in particular before the public. This continuously improved program works for the benefit of Lubbock County residents allowing them simple and understandable access not just to court records from past years, but also to the recent findings exposed through system of reports anyone can read on the Internet so members of community could assess efficiency of the judiciary system and contribute to the cause of developing the strategies for finding ways to improve efficiency and openness of court process. Similar programs are being implemented in 60 other counties in different states across the USA, and there's an opinion that Lubbock County's could serve as a template to follow.
Some court records maintained by local courts of trial are considered sealed, either the whole record or certain part of it. Quite often such sealed or restricted access records belong to databases of county juvenile courts, even if the charges on some cases were as serious as illegal drug possession. Only law enforcement officers and agents are being granted access to them in case they need the information contained therein for investigating another crime that is in some way related to the case that was tried previously. But in any case a court order from the judge is needed.
The other group of tools allowing and facilitating court records search are those offered by the commercial brokers of the information that would charge you for access or per search performed, but many of those databases can hardly considered to be legal, as well as the information they disclose. Therefore the information found this way needs to be verified as for its accuracy, consistency, and speaking further, only via fingerprints match you can bee 100% sure it relates exactly to that very person you are running your background check against, but not to someone else with the same name, place of residence etc.

Taking Risks: Star Trek and the Moon Landing
With the J.J. Abrams Star Trek "origins" movie, this significant franchise is getting a much-deserved reboot into the popular consciousness. At the very end of the movie, when Leonard Nimoy recited the famous "Space: the final frontier..." intro and we heard the original TV show theme music, I was suddenly beamed into nostalgia land.
I never considered myself to be a Trekkie, or Trekker, or Trekkist, or whatever you want to call them. Nevertheless, as a kid I made sure to catch every episode of Star Trek because the stories were thought-provoking and just plain fun.
Sure, it was mostly a cheesy, low-budget fantasy show with laughably cheap sets, but Star Trek also featured some high-quality, well-written shows among the occasional mediocre ones. Some episodes were brilliant, some were so-so, but none were totally bad. Even the worst ones had something of interest to offer. Star Trek always made you think, in the same way The Twilight Zone would grab you and turn your usual thought patterns inside out and upside down.
Returning to Yesterday with Star Trek: The Original Series (ST:TOS)
Not too long ago, I was surprised to learn that all 79 episodes of ST:TOS can be found at CBS.com, remastered in Hi-Def with no commercials. And that brings me to a recent revelation. When I found this Trek treasure-trove, it was hard to decide what I should watch. Over the years, I'd seen most of the shows over and over again, but there were some that I had only caught once when they first aired.
Pretty much at random, I played "Return to Tomorrow" and visited an episode I hadn't seen in over forty years. From the perspective of an adult, I found this story to be a fine example of the worst and best aspects of the original Star Trek.
The Enterprise comes across a planet that harbors pure-energy remnants of three survivors from a race that had died off half a million years earlier. These aliens seek to "borrow" the bodies of Enterprise crew members (Kirk, Spock and a hot chick) so they can build androids into which they will transfer their non-corporeal consciousness -- then they can live again as physical beings. Complications and a corny tragic romance ensue in predictable fashion.
A Prophetic Monolog: Captain Kirk's famous "Risk" Speech
Twenty minutes into this episode, the key Enterprise members are trying to decide if they should comply with the alien's wishes. All agree to go along except Dr. McCoy who considers the procedure to be unpredictable and far too risky. This prompts Kirk to give the following over-the-top speech, embarrassingly delivered in William Shatner's trademark jolting, highly impassioned manner that has endeared him to millions of fans.
"They use to say if mankind could fly, he'd have wings -- but he did fly. He discovered he had to. Do you wish that the first Apollo mission hadn't reached the moon, or that we hadn't gone on to Mars and then to the nearest star? That's like saying you wish that you still operated with scalpels and sewed your patients up with catgut like your great-great-great-great grandfather used to. I'm in command. I could order this, but I'm not because Doctor McCoy is right in pointing out the enormous danger potential in any contact with life and intelligence as fantastically advanced as this, but I must also point out that the possibilities -- the potential for knowledge and advancement is equally great. Risk! Risk is our business. That's what this starship is all about. That's why we're aboard her. You may dissent without any prejudice. Do I hear a negative vote?"
The Moon Landing is ancient history in Star Trek's world
Did you catch that reference to "the first Apollo mission"? This show originally aired on February 9, 1968. To the audience at the time, the moon landing had not yet taken place, and it was by no means a sure thing. In fact, we now know that there were serious technical problems encountered during the landing, and it was only the uncanny piloting skills of Neil Armstrong, plus a lot of luck, that avoided a horrible disaster on that momentous day in July, 1969.
But for Captain Kirk, the moon landing was old news, as it is for us today. And this demonstrates the abiding appeal of science fiction that Star Trek brought to a global mass audience. "Risk is our business." Embrace the possibilities of the future, then some day you can look back and marvel at the wonders that have come to pass.
Past and Future Trek: Gene Roddenberry's Legacy
In many ways, Star Trek showed us what was scientifically feasible -- and in some cases, it actually made them come true. It is well-known that the cool futuristic "communicator" inspired the invention of a practical mobile phone (according to its inventor at Motorola, Dr. Martin Cooper). Now let's get busy with the universal translator, phaser, replicator, transporter, and holodeck.
Star Trek continues to lead humanity toward a wondrous future. The original series made a significant impression on the Baby Boomers, and the latest incarnation will certainly have a similar impact on Millennials who have never seen Classic Star Trek.

Where the human stops and his surroundings begin? This simple question does in fact have no simple answer.
When does the air we breathe become a part of our bodies and when does it stop being our body? When it enters the mouth? When it passes our throat on its way to our lungs? When the oxygen molecules take a ride on erythrocytes (majority of them toward the brain) or when they embrace the carbon atoms in the fire, to form carbon dioxide that we will exhale?
When does a glass of water become a part of our body and when does it stop being a part of our body? When we take it to the mouth? When it passes trough our throat? When it enters the stomach? When it starts performing its delivery function in the body? When it starts performing its lubrication function between the moving body parts? When it becomes a means of signalization? When it starts performing cooling function to exit evaporating trough the skin? When it starts performing liquid waste disposal function to exit as urine or other excreta?
When does a candy or a steak become a part of our body? When we take it into our hands or when we put it in our mouths? When it goes down the throat or when it enters the stomach? When it is converted into simple sugars and carried trough our delivery system to the fire, where it is used as firewood? When it emits energy for energy consuming functions of human body like moving causing its surroundings to warm up by excess heat? It may, though, be used as building material and stored firewood (i.e. fat) but this is just a delayed action. When does the unused food (that we do not really know if and when it became a part of our bodies) stop being part of our bodies? When it exits the stomach or when it travels through intestines? When we defecate, do we part with a part of our bodies?
Animals can smell human hundreds of feet away. Snakes can feel our warmth at a distance. Processes continuing in our bodies are no soundless and they can be heard over a distance. We are exchanging large portions of what we perceive as our bodies with its environment all the time. Thinking about all said above we can much better understand what John Donne had in mind when reciting:
“No man is an island entire in itself. Everyone is a part of a continent. So never send to know for whom the bell tolls - it tolls for the.”
A man is a thinking fire, supported by earth, regulated by water, leaving his signature in the air.
