Changing the Microsoft Money Categories
You can customize the Money categories in two basic ways. You can change—add to, edit, or delete from—the Money Category list, and you can specify in terms of mechanics how Money uses categories. Both types of category customization are often necessary. In the paragraphs below I describe how to perform both types of
customization.
Thinking about the Categories You Need
Let me start by talking about the categories you probably need or want.
If you're using Microsoft Money to track personal finances or the business finances of a sole proprietorship or a single member limited liability that's treated as a sole proprietorship for income tax puposes,, the existing categories are probably fine.
If you're using Microsoft Money to track the business finances of a regular C corporation (including a limited liability company that's treated as a C corporation for income tax purposes), however, you probably want to make sure that the income and expense categories shown on the federal 1120 corporation income tax return are available in Money.
Similarly, if you're using Money to track the business finances of a Subchapter S corporation (including a limited liability company that's treated for tax purposes as an S corporation), you probably want to make sure that the income and expense categories shown on the federal 1120S corporation return are available in Money.
And, again similarly, if you're using Money to track the business finances of a partnership or a limited liability company treated as a partnership, you probably want to make sure that the income and expense categories shown on the federal 1065 corporation return are available in Money.
Once you know which categories you want or need, modifying the actual category list is easy.
Modifying the Category List
Because it is the most common type of category customization, let me begin by explaining how you can change the category list. To change the category list, take the following steps:
1. Display the Money Category list.
To display the Money Category list, select Categories & Payees from the Accounts & Bills menu on the Money home page. When you do this, Money displays the Set Up Your Categories window.
2. Add any new category required.
To add a new category, click the New button. Money displays the first New Category dialog box. To create the new category, enter a name in the Name box. Then click a Category Type option button—Income or Expense— to identify which type of category you are creating.
Click the Next button. Money asks under which group the new category falls. To answer this question, select the group from the list that Money displays that best fits the new category. Click the Finish button. At this point, you have successfully set up the new category.
NOTE If you select a list from the list box, Money provides a more elaborate description of the category group in a box next to the list box of groups.
3. Delete any unneeded categories.
You can easily delete categories that you don’t want on the Category list—and in fact, you should do so to simplify your list. To delete a category, simply scroll through the Category list in the Set Up Your Categories window until you find one you want
to delete, click the category to select it, and then click the Delete button. Money deletes the category without asking for confirmation. If you need to delete additional categories, repeat this step as many times as needed.
4. As necessary, edit any category names or descriptions.
You can edit the category description that appears on the Category list. You may want to do this because this is the description that Money uses on reports that show the category. You can also change the category type. To make either change, scroll
through the list of categories until you find the one you want to change, click the category to select it, and then click the Modify button. When you do this, Money displays the Modify Category dialog box.
To change the category name, simply replace the current contents of the New Name text box. You can also use the Income Category and Expense Category buttons to change the category type for the selected categories. After you have made changes
to either the name or category type, click the OK button.
NOTE The Move button, which also appears on the Set Up Your Categories window, isn’t really for modifying the Category list. The Move button displays the Move Transactions dialog box, which lets you recategorize the transactions you have
previously recorded. For example, suppose that you use the category electricity to record checks you write to the local power company. But then you realize that you really want to use a new category named utilities. The Move Transactions dialog box lets you, in effect, “move” all the transactions you categorized using the electricity category to the new utilities category. What
actually happens when you use the Move button and its Move Transactions dialog box is that Money goes through all the transactions that have the electricity category and replaces the category electricity with the new category utilities.
5. As necessary, identify which new categories are tax-related.
If you add any new categories to the Money Category list, you should indicate whether the new category is tax-related. A “tax-related” category is one that tracks an amount that appears on a line of your federal or state income tax return. To identify a new category as a tax-related category, click the Set Up Tax Categories
link. Money displays the Associate Money Categories With Tax Form Lines window
Setting the Standard Categories Options
The Standard Categories box has other options you might want to use. Clicking the Restore Standard Categories button restores the standard, default list of Income and Expense categories. In other words, by clicking this button, you erase your changes to the Category list. These are the sorts of changes described in previous
paragraphs. Clicking the Remove Unused Categories button removes those categories from the Category list that you haven’t used for recording transactions.
If you do click this button, you probably want to leave the Ask Me Before Removing Each Category check box empty. Otherwise, Money will ask you to confirm the deletion of each unused category.

2. The Join-the-dots puzzles require only basic counting knowledge. Just touch a swirling rainbow and the puzzle appears.
3. The speed coloring game requires that you color flashing objects quickly, before a character fades away.
4. The Boss Challenge is the part where you catch a robber and color him in order to get back the missing color crystals.
5. To complete the Adventure Mode, you have to track down three robbers in different locations, unlocking crayons and coloring pages after completing each game.
This leads us to the Coloring Book, where the fun really begins.
1. By completing the Adventure Mode, you will now have 120 crayons to play with and 110 different pictures in six categories, namely dinosaurs, vehicles, farm, ocean, zoo and adventure.
2. Simple button options allow you to choose colors, erase mistakes, use a narrow or wide tipped coloring tool, and even choose between crayon and marker.
3. After coloring the object on the screen, you can also add grass, trees, sky or whatever your imagination requires.
The game saves itself as you go along, but in case you want to start all over again, there's a reset option. During play, a character named Tip provides helpful hints, but as there's no audio for this feature, basic reading skills may be required.
The only two negative aspects are that the three adventures all play the same types of games, which get boring after a while, and that the game is overpriced, all things considered.
Once the adventure is over, ask your kids to let you have a turn coloring - you'll find that it's great fun, but please remember that you have to give it back.

I got this so my 3 year old boy would have a ds game to play that he could play with very little assistance. There are a few things he had to figure out through practice...but almost everything he can do himself. He not only loves to color, but he likes to do the puzzles and other activities. The activities seem kind of repetitive, but you know children, they don't mind! (kind of like they are about hearing their favorite story over and over again.)
DOESN'T SAVE...but the children don't seem to mind. I kind of do, but they don't...well at least when I explain they can't save their coloring, but they do get to color it again and again and again. Sometimes I take a picture of them if they particularly like their work (on my good digital camera, or on my cell phone).
I was upset that it didn't have any free drawing...until one day I saw that there is one that is a picture frame, and on the inside of the frame you can draw whatever you want.
Also, you can only draw in marker or crayon. And it does NOT let you color out of the lines.
Sadly, he lost this game the other day, because he was carrying it around and being kind of a "naughty 3 year old." I don't want to replace it because, I am waiting to buy it used...unless I find the one he's lost. Really, you can't go wrong with this game...unless your little ones are playing more advanced FAST PACED GAMES, and have Lost the youthful enjoyment of slower paced games.
P.S. My 3 year old has high functioning autism....doesn't sit still too long, but he actually does sit longer while doing this game.
Not only do my 3 older children enjoy coloring on this, but I (39 years) even enjoy coloring on this game...not as much as "Imagine Artist" which has painting and color pencils, but it still allows for a lot of colorful fun.

A Tea-O-Con Case Study - Incumbent Rep. Jason Chaffetz's Legacy of Likability, Photo Ops, and Anti-Liberty Legislation
With the recent ouster of Bob Bennett, it seems many incumbent Republicans are scrambling and cranking up the spin-machine in an attempt to jump aboard the recent "Liberty/Tea Party" freight-train. I like to call these folks Tea-o-Cons; Neo-Conservatives who leverage true-blue American libertarian rhetoric to get elected, then once they are in power they actually legislate against liberty and libertarian values. It's the old "bait & switch" scam and they are essentially Neo-Conservative wolves in Sheep's clothing.
On July 12th, 2003, Rep. Ron Paul gave a speech to Congress where he described the Neo-Conservatives ("neo-cons" for short) as former leftists (he calls them former-Trotsky-ites) and their beliefs:
1) Permanent revolution; violent as well as intellectual
2) Re-drawing the middle east through force
3) Pre-emptive war to achieve desired ends
4) The ends justify the means
5) No opposition to the Welfare state
6) Strongly endorse American empire
7) Lying is necessary for the state to survive
Believe a power Federal government is a benefit
9) Pertinent acts about how a society should be run should be decided by the elite and withheld from those who don't have the "courage" to deal with it
10) Neutrality in foreign affairs is ill-advised. Force should not be limited to the defense of our country
11) They dislike and despise libertarians
12) Attacks on civil liberties are necessary
13) Unconditionally support Israel
In essence, Neo-Cons are pro-war, anti-liberty, anti-accountability, deceptive, and pro-Zionist. Tea-O-Cons are simply Neo-Conservative wolves in Tea Party sheep's clothing. Since I am running for the same office currently held by former Democrat, now Republican Jason Chaffetz, I thought I'd apply a Tea-O-Con analysis toward his legislative legacy. Now, those who've seen incumbent Rep. Jason Chaffetz (UT-3) on The Colbert Nation being soundly defeated in leg wrestling (which is even funnier given he was a kicker for BYU) or doing photo-ops with a goat know that Mr. Chaffetz is very likable. I am in no way whatsoever contesting Mr. Chaffetz's affability. And to be totally fair, Rep. Jason Chaffetz, has never claimed to be libertarian or to be a staunch defender of the Constitution or Bill of Rights, as far as I know.
In addition to being likable, Chaffetz is very media savvy, having a background in marketing. It's interesting that Chaffetz issued a warning on his Twitter account that communicates on many levels:
"If any one person(s) tries to co-opt it, the Tea Party will lose its identity and effectiveness."
Whether this is an admonishment of his fellow Neo-Cons' strategy to blatantly take over the movement or if it is his attempt to establish credibility with legit, grassroots Tea Party people (or both) isn't important. What is important is that Chaffetz is well aware of the need to appear like he's pro-Tea Party to distract from his clear Neo-Conservative voting record.
I suppose that is ultimately why I decided to run to represent Utah's 3rd Congressional district. I believe that our country was founded upon rugged libertarian values that were ultimately codified in our Constitution and our Bill of Rights and we need to look past all the photo-ops and publicity stunts to see if Utah's 3rd district congressional representative has repeatedly voted against the liberties enshrined in the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights or not. Unfortunately it seems, that despite Mr. Chaffetz's rhetoric and affability, his legislative record has been decidedly anti-liberty, pro-war, and even anti-accountability.

INCUMBENT REP. JASON CHAFFETZ'S ANTI-LIBERTY LEGACY
-Rep. Chaffetz voted for 'HR 4061: Cybersecurity Act of 2009'. Even more egregious than the approval to spend $503 million taxpayer dollars is the fact that Chaffetz's vote gave broad over-reaching power to the President to "declare a cybersecurity emergency and order the limitation or shutdown of Internet traffic to and from any compromised Federal Government or United States critical infrastructure information system or network" (from section 18). This has the potential to destroy the livelihood of countless struggling small business owners that depend on the internet to put food on the table for their families, not to mention it will very well stop the free-flow of information and ideas at the whim of the President.
-Freedom of contract is a bedrock of libertarianism and laissez faire economics. The freedom to contract says that people are free to enter into any agreement with each other without any government restrictions, and as such the state should only get involved if one party breaks the contract. Perhaps the most important agreement in all human affairs is the marriage contract; the agreement made between two people devoting their lives to each other. Government simply does not have the authority to define, license or restrict this contract. Despite this, the incumbent Representative Jason Chaffetz cosponsored H.J. Res 37, a constitutional amendment that would mandate that same-sex couples be excluded from the right to marry everywhere in the United States.
Even if the state had the authority to dictate such agreements, it is still an abrogation of the 10th Amendment and would affect Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, Vermont and New Hampshire since they've approved same sex marriage. H.J. Res 37 would also prevent same-sex couples from attaining the same legal status as married couples by an arrangement having a name other than marriage. This just seems cruel that those same sex couples that don't even want to use the word marriage still cannot be treated equally before the law.
- FACT: Rep. Jason Chaffetz just voted to increase TAX penalties for gun manufacturers. Let me repeat that so it fully sinks in: Incumbent Rep. Jason Chaffetz just voted to further increase TAX penalties on firearms manufacturers. Utahn Gun Rights and Liberty Advocates need to wake up and fast. Chaffetz voted to pass H.R. 5552: The Firearms Excise Tax Improvement Act of 2010 (along with incumbent Reps. Matheson and Bishop).
Frankly, I can't think of anything more un-American and stomach churning than this. This bill does a number of things that are a direct affront to liberty, foremost it adds complexity to an already overbearing tax code by changing the existing due and payable date, which will only serve to increase tax penalty receipts (here's the code http://vlex.com/vid/sec-mode-time-collection-19210230. If this isn't complicated, then I don't know what is). Second, a vote for this bill supports and refines the notion that somehow firearms manufacturers are responsible for how criminals use firearms. Mr. Chaffetz, how are gun manufacturers responsible for "CRIMINAL RESTITUTION"? Third, in addition to increased complexity, it actually increases the tax penalty on entrepreneurs (gun manufacturers) which is bad enough in this economy, but it will undoubtedly lead to higher prices for consumers who simply wish to defend themselves and their families while exercising their 2nd Amendment rights. Fourth, this bill supports the funding of government intervention in the economy, aka employment "incentives". Where in the Constitution are employment incentives mentioned?
A vote for this bill is a vote to increase tax receipts and tax code complexity and it works against entrepreneurs (gun manufacturers) and consumers all while funding government intervention in the economy.
-While I applaud Mr. Chaffetz's vote to not renew the Patriot Act (which unfortunately was renewed anyway), I am quite upset by Mr. Chaffetz's attempt to weaken the requirement within the USA PATRIOT Amendments Act of 2009 (H.R. 3845) that mandates that the government must have a written statement (national security letter) of specific facts that show that the records sought after pertain to actual suspected spies or terrorists, to better protect the Fourth Amendment privacy of U.S. persons that have no ties to foreign intelligence. The amendment that Mr. Chaffetz presented failed on a voice vote but unfortunately a "manager's amendment" created to address concerns raised by the Obama Administration did pass giving both Chaffetz and the Obama administration what they both wanted, weakened USA PATRIOT Act reform.
- Why is Rep. Jason Chaffetz, a representative from Utah's 3rd district, trying to overturn action by the D.C. City Council that would allow medical marijuana usage in the nation's capital with H. J. Res. 93? Is he D.C.'s representative or Utah's? In a larger sense, Chaffetz doesn't seem to understand that, per the U.S. Constitution, to outlaw a mind-altering substance, you need a constitutional amendment. It has been done before, and when Prohibition failed, the amendment was repealed. Beyond being anti-liberty, the War on Drugs is unconstitutional and incredibly wasteful. But Mr. Chaffetz clearly isn't interested in either liberty, fiscal responsibility, or the Constitution here.
INCUMBENT REP. JASON CHAFFETZ'S PRO-WAR LEGACY - Utah's City Weekly even awarded Mr. Chaffetz the "Best War Hypocrite" award. From their 2010 "Best of" edition (please note, I don't approve of their abrasive ad hominems):
"We hoped Rep. Jason Chaffetz, media whore though he may be, could fashion himself into a contrarian, principled Republican. He now seems every bit as slimy and untrustworthy as the rest of Congress. In November, he said, 'Mr. President, it's time to bring our troops home' from Afghanistan, a war that has cost $3.6 billion per month and killed more than 1,000 American soldiers. Just three months later, he voted against a resolution that would direct the president to do exactly that. His pro-war vote came less than a week after attending the funeral of Carlos A. Aragon, 19, or Orem, and just before attending the funeral of Nigel K. Olsen, 21, of Salem, both of whom died in Afghanistan."
The resolution that Mr. Chaffetz chose to vote against was H.Con.Res.248. It seems he did even worse than that though, he said one thing, then voted the exact opposite. His vote has only promoted war and wasteful spending.
Jason Chaffetz voted for co-sponsoring 'HR 2194: Expanding Economic War with Iran'. I think Rep. Ron Paul said it best when he described this bill thus "We need to see all this for what it is: Propaganda to speed us to war against Iran for the benefit of special interests."

-Representative Chaffetz cosponsored "The Birthright Citizenship Act" H.R. 1868, which will remove the guarantee that makes you a naturalized American citizen by virtue of simply being born in the USA. H.R. 1868 is in the tradition of the old German Heimatland 'jus sanguinis' model of citizenship based upon "proper" bloodline, race, or language. I like the long standing American tradition that guarantees every individual born here can be born free.

What Do You Think A Business Card Is For?
The use of business cards, or calling cards as they were more popularly known, is still widely prevalent today, even in this age of electronic communications. Technologies of instant communications such as Bluetooth and infrared connectivity are easier and much handier ways of sending and receiving data and information, including those contained in a business card. Yet people ---and particularly businessmen--- still carry around small stacks of business cards, giving them away at every chance they get and at the slightest provocation. Don't ever tell a businessman you'll call and he will give you his card, faster than you can say "Jack Robinson", whoever he is, regardless of whether he has given you one earlier.
This only proves business cards still play a vital role in business or even everyday life, because even those not in business, such as students, have calling cards in their names. Why so? A number of reasons have been advanced as to the business card's functions, and they range from as a source of personal pride to a business tool.
The functions of a business card
As a business advertising tool. A business card will normally contain the owner's name, form or list of business or service rendered, phone or contact number/s, and some sort of catchphrase or slogan for the business. In this way the holder will immediately see in the card if the card owner is the appropriate solution to his immediate needs. So actually the card acts as a kind of 'sleeper' or inactive advertising for the owner, accessed when needed.
As a social link. Many people accept other people's business cards and promptly forget both the card and the person right afterwards. Then the card is remembered when the holder needs to contact the card owner socially, and so the card is dredged up from the dustbin of 'where-did-I-place-it' questions. Or, you may not care what the guy sells, but he is so hunky…
As a travelling reference. If you know a friend who requires his boat engine serviced and you bump into someone who does that, you may wish to request his card to pass to your friend, who might later pass it on to another with similar needs. Without the card, neither potential customer will remember the boat engine service provider when the service is required. With it, the card owner may well capture a whole boating association.
As a personal affectation. It is simply classy to give away business cards, even if the owner has no business. It gives the owner a feeling of 'superiority' -for lack of a more appropriate term-over others. It is also a lot easier to just hand a receptionist, say, your business card instead of explaining who you are.

Different people have different uses for a business card and if you think one reason is enough, then you're wrong. A business card does all of the above, and often, more.

Hard Rock Park: South Carolina's Rockin' New Theme Park
Hard Rock Park is America's newest theme park and the latest attraction to hit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. For an area that is defined by its tourism industry, the $400 million project is the single largest tourism investment in the state's history and will presumably target some of the customers who would have frequented the Myrtle Beach Pavilion up until its closure at the end of last year.
Beginning with an Eric Clapton guitar, Hard Rock owns the world's greatest collection of music memorabilia displayed at its locations around the globe.
The park's theme is not movies, fairy tales, animals or water shows but reflects the company's commitment to rock's culture, lifestyle, legends and irreverence. This rocking celebration of the history of rock and roll is set to help Myrtle Beach enter into a new level.
Located off Hwy 501 just over the waterway, the groundbreaking 55-acre park is a totally immersive, full-day attraction that features something for rockers of all ages, including roller coasters, live shows and entertainment as well as children's play areas, restaurants, retail stores and a multi-purpose live music amphitheater. Six custom-designed sections bring to life the genres from Rock 'n' Roll, showcasing the Beatles and artists from the British Invasion to artists like Led Zeppelin and the Eagles. All of the park's shops, eateries and attractions are blanketed in an ultra-modern sound system specifically developed for the project.
A giant Gibson guitar sets the tone to the rock & roll inspired Hard Rock Park after guests enter the All Access Entry Plaza and explore eateries like I Want Candy sweets shop and the Amp'd coffee bar. At the Gibson Vegas High Roller Plaza, guests can grab some souvenirs at All Access Merchandise or catch a bite and see a show at The Whammy Bar and Peavey Lounge. The entry plaza also includes the Origins Theater where guests can watch a 12-minute movie about the history of the Hard Rock Cafe.
The Cool Country area pays tribute to southern rock influences and features attractions like the "Just A Swingin' " swings, "Muddin' Moster Race" and the park's longest roller coaster, the "Eagles Life in the Fast Lane". This runaway mine coaster includes two lift hills, head-snapping turns and a very familiar Eagles tune blasting in your ears. Guests can get their fill of Southern food at the Rockabilly BBQ and follow it up with a rowdy country/rock show at The Icehouse Theater.
In the Born in the USA area, kids will get a kick out of the pint-sized rides at "Banana Splitsville" as well as have big time at the "Kids Rock! State Park playground. The signature coaster features a three-quarter mile track that rises to more than 155 feet at its highest point and thrills riders with a six and a half minute experience, partially over water, reaching speeds of 65 mph and boasting six breathtaking inversions, the largest of which is a 120-foot loop. Kids can cool off at the "Reggae River Falls" sprayground or the "Colossal Guitar Fountain" while kids of all ages can catch a cool show at the Malibu Beach Party.
Hard Rock Park plans to be open 10 months a year and hopes to attract 30,000 visitors a day and about 3 million a year. Myrtle Beach has an abundance of area hotels along with an international airport, which makes reaching Hard Rock Park a quick trip in a rental car. - Learn concepts about volume by playing with rice or sand and various kinds of containers.
